DeepLab - Distributed Environments and Parallel Systems Laboratory

Logotipo do DeepLab

Since 2004, Deeplab (Distributed Environments and Parallel Systems Lab) is a research laboratory that brings together researchers and students of the Computer Science undergraduate program of PUC Minas, Poços de Caldas - Brazil, around themes related to distributed computing  and parallel systems. The DeepLab team members also belong to SIDR@, a research group endorsed by PUC Minas and with a country wide visibility through the CNPq's (Brazilian National Council for Scientific and Technological Development) research group directory. The objective of the lab is to support research in Distributed Systems and Parallel Computation areas through the students' engagement in scientific initiation programs. Inside of these two main areas, the group works in the following research lines:

  • QoS and Cache Mechanisms for Web;
  • Analysis of Computer Systems;
  • Network Security using HoneyNets / HoneyPots;
  • Computer Networks using IPv6;
  • Modelling and Simulation Systems (Sequential and Distributed);
  • Cluster and Grids Architectures;
  • Dependable and Adaptive Distributed Data Management.
